Khaberni - The Baghdad Operations Command announced today, Wednesday, the assassination of Baghdad Governorate Council member Safaa Al-Mashhadani and candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections, by an explosive device that targeted his vehicle north of the capital.
According to the command's statement, an explosive device was placed under Al-Mashhadani's vehicle, resulting in his death and wounding four others with varying degrees of injuries who were with him inside the vehicle. The incident occurred in the Tarmiya district north of the capital.
