Khaberni - The Turkish police in Diyarbakir arrested a man named R.I. after his appearance in a live TikTok broadcast helped determine his location, as he was wanted to serve a 25-year prison sentence for crimes including theft, prison escape, and drug use.
The Diyarbakir Police Department formed a special team to track R.I. after several failed attempts to arrest him during multiple raids on his home, later focusing on his social media accounts to trace any clues that might reveal his current location.
The security teams noticed during a live broadcast on TikTok a street sign in the background of the video, which allowed them to narrow down the search to the surrounding area.
On October 11 (October), the security team deployed its elements in all the specified streets according to the sign, and they were able to follow R.I. even after the live broadcast ended, and he was found inside one of the places where he was immediately arrested and handed over to prison to begin serving the sentence.
