The artist Yusra spoke about difficult situations she faced in her early career, noting that her father refused one of the roles offered to her at the beginning of her career, which was the role of a "mistress" later played by the artist Safia El Omari, telling her at the time: "My daughter should not appear as a mistress".
In an interview, Yusra explained that she recently dislikes looking in the mirror because it makes her focus on details she does not wish to notice, adding: "I love being myself with all my flaws, and I used to like how I looked when I was younger, and now I wish I could lose more weight".
She also revealed a painful experience from her childhood, saying: "My dad took me when I was 14 years old, and I spent a year and a half without seeing my mom, and that was traumatic for me, because mom was my whole life, and I lived with someone I didn’t know, who was my father".
