Khaberni - The Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places, Dr. Mohammed Ahmad Al-Khlaileh, has decided to close the Imam Al-Albani Center for Studies and Research, and stop all its affiliated activities, effective from the date of the decision.
The official letter issued by the ministry stated that the center "engages in activities and spreads ideas that conflict with the general religious thought in the Jordanian society, affecting the national and doctrinal constants, and straying from the purposes for which the center was licensed," indicating that this "undermines national unity and cultural and social diversity, and conflicts with the ministry's vision aimed at promoting moderation and advocating with wisdom and good preaching."
The decision was based on Article (16/b) of the Islamic Centers System No. (107) for the year 2020, based on the recommendations of the Licensing Committee for Islamic Centers in the minutes of its meeting no. (10/2) dated 12/10/2025.
The ministry confirmed in the conclusion of the letter that the decision includes stopping all activities and events related to the center from the date of its issuance, with an emphasis on the necessity of full compliance with the contents of the decision.
