Khaberni - Controversy was sparked by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's statements about the Western Sahara issue and the Russian presence in African Sahel countries during a press conference in Moscow for media representatives from Arab countries.
Lavrov denied allegations made by an Algerian journalist about committing crimes against civilians in Mali, stating that Russian forces do not carry out any actions against civilians.
Regarding the Western Sahara issue, Lavrov affirmed that Russia is ready to welcome any resolution to the issue as long as it satisfies all parties involved.
