Khaberni - Director Mohammed Sami responded to the criticisms he received over the past few days after he gifted a "Rolls Royce" to his wife, actress Mai Omar, for her birthday, especially after announcing that he had sold the luxury watch she had bought for him, stating that the reason is that she doesn't ask for much, and therefore he wanted to give her everything.
Sami said during a press conference, “Firstly, I didn’t sell the watch she bought me. I was just joking, and I don't think I am afraid of envy because many people have more and nothing happens to them, and there are many people in the world who are more envied."
About the luxury car he gifted to Mai Omar, Mohammed Sami stated, "It's not strange that after all these years and work I can afford this car. I am not an employee with a limited income; I work in a creative career that makes a lot of money and God blesses everyone."
Sami added, "Mai is not materialistic at all, she doesn’t like gold, she doesn’t tell me to buy this or that, and if I brought her a bag she'd ask me why I got it when she already has one. One time she was filming a series in a car like this, she liked it so I thought I should get it for her and it’s the least she deserves."
