Khaberni - Syria's national team has qualified for the finals of the 2027 Asian Cup after sweeping Myanmar's team with a clean three-goal win today, Tuesday, in the match that was held for the fourth round of the continental qualifiers.

The "Qasioun Eagles" team raised their points to 12, leading Group 5 by a full six points over their only competitor for qualification in the group, which also included Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The Syrian team performed well but waited until the 80th minute to score the first goal by Pablo Sabbagh.

Sabbagh scored the match-opening goal and then added the second goal six minutes later, before Mohammad Salahuddin sealed the treble in the 87th minute, ensuring the Syrian team achieved full marks after four matches.

With this victory, the Syrian team has secured its spot in the tournament that will be held in Saudi Arabia at the beginning of the year 2027, continuing its successful journey under the leadership of Spanish coach José Lana.
