Khaberni - Exclusive
The World Gold Council released a list of countries with the most gold reserves globally for the second quarter of the current year, including 102 countries.
Jordan ranked 45th among these countries, according to Khaberni, with a gold balance of 72.38 tons, up from 72.27 tons in the first quarter.
On the Arab level, Jordan was fifth in gold possession, following Algeria (173.56 tons), Libya (146.65 tons), Egypt (128.53 tons), and Qatar (116.12 tons).
The World Gold Council noted that the list published this month did not include data from several countries under the "awaiting data" category, including countries with large gold reserves such as Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, along with Comoros, Yemen, Oman, Iraq, Bahrain, UAE, and Kuwait.
The United States topped the list of countries with the most gold reserves globally, followed by Germany, then Italy, France, China, India, Japan, Turkey, Netherlands, and Poland.
