Channels are spreading on the Telegram app that deceive Jordanians by luring subscribers of these channels with imaginary profits within hours, through investment in global stock markets.
According to monitoring by the site Khaberni, hundreds subscribe to these applications, despite repeated warnings about the danger these channels pose to the pockets of citizens.
Subscribers to the channels reported to the site Khaberni that they fell victim to scams by these channels, by transferring monetary amounts of at least 100-150 dinars, tempted by achieving profits hours after transferring.
After the transfer, which is done through mobile payment applications, more amounts are requested to transfer the alleged profits all at once, and here the channel user realizes that they have fallen victim to a scam and sellers of illusion.
The Cybercrimes Unit and the Securities Authority (responsible for companies authorized to deal in global stock markets), have repeatedly warned of the dangers of dealing with these unlicensed entities, which deceive citizens.
