iPhone Air released for sale in China within days

Khaberni - The new ultra-thin iPhone Air from Apple has not yet been available in China, one of Apple's largest markets, but it appears that the phone will soon arrive in China.

When Apple unveiled the iPhone Air in September, it said it would be available for pre-order on Friday, September 12 as part of a broad global launch. However, the company later had to change its plans.

Due to regulatory issues related to the design of the device, which supports only an "eSIM" electronic chip without a slot for an actual telecommunications chip, the launch of the iPhone Air in China has been indefinitely postponed.

Now, according to a post by Apple CEO Tim Cook on the Chinese platform "Weibo," Apple is almost ready to launch the phone in China, according to a report by "9TO5Mac" website specializing in technology news, reviewed by "Al Arabiya Business".

Pre-orders for the iPhone Air for users in Mainland China will begin on Friday, October 17 at 9:00 AM local time.

The shipping of iPhone Air devices to users in China is scheduled to start on Wednesday, October 22.

It is still unknown how the Chinese market will react to a phone that supports only an "eSIM". Traditional "SIM" cards are more common there compared to many other regions of the world.
