Jordan ranks among the list of the world’s most suffering populations from physical pain, according to a report prepared by the Gallup World Institute, with a rate exceeding half of the adult population.
Jordan ranked eighth among Arab nations globally in suffering from physical pain, with 54% of adults affected, according to the report, which provides a comprehensive study of discomfort levels in various countries.
Jordan occupied the second place among Arab countries, behind Egypt which was seventh globally with a one percentage point difference, and ahead of Iraq, which was tied for tenth place globally.
The report stated that the highest daily physical pain experiences in the world were reported in a similar group of countries, led by Sierra Leone and Chad, where more than two-thirds of the population reported experiencing severe physical pain on the previous day.
It noted that these high levels in these two countries reflect the combined effects of conflicts, widespread malnutrition, and weak health systems.
