The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated in a statement that the desire for peace and dialogue expressed by the American president conflicts with "the aggressive and criminal actions of the United States towards the Iranian people".
This came after Trump stated before the Knesset on Monday that his country is ready to strike a deal with Tehran.
In June, the United States joined Israel in bombing Iranian nuclear facilities after five rounds of indirect nuclear talks with Tehran, which were hindered by issues such as nuclear enrichment.
Western countries accuse Iran of seeking to possess nuclear weapons, a claim denied by Tehran, which asserts that its nuclear program is intended for civilian purposes only.
