Khaberni - The Sharm el-Sheikh document affirmed the commitment to achieving a comprehensive vision of peace in the Middle East and welcomed the establishment of comprehensive and sustainable peace arrangements in Gaza.
The Sharm el-Sheikh document was signed at the "Peace Summit" by U.S. President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The document signed in Sharm el-Sheikh called for "tolerance, respect, and equal opportunities for every individual, ensuring that the region is a place where everyone can aspire to peace, security, and economic prosperity, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic origin."
The signatories of the document affirmed their pursuit of "achieving a comprehensive vision for peace, security, and joint prosperity in the region, based on the principles of mutual respect and shared destiny."
The text of the document also stated: "In this spirit, we welcome the progress made in establishing comprehensive and sustainable peace arrangements in the Gaza Strip, as well as the friendly relations and mutual benefit between Israel and its regional neighbors. We commit to working together to implement and preserve this legacy, and to build the foundations upon which future generations can thrive together in peace.. We collectively pledge towards a future dominated by sustainable peace."
Leaders from the United States, Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar signed a document in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on Monday, an agreement to end the war in Gaza which was called for by Donald Trump to cease fire and exchange prisoners and detainees between Israel and Hamas, and described by the American President as "a great day for the Middle East."
