Khaberni - The Greater Ajloun Municipality removed about 20 encroachments on the roads and sidewalks in the town of Anjara, which were posing a danger to road users and caused traffic congestion.
The media spokesperson for the municipality, Mahmoud Al-Abboud, stated on Monday that the encroachments removed in the areas of Ras Al-Ain and the Western Triangle were causing traffic issues and various accidents, and were a source of annoyance to the citizens.
He added that the municipality had warned the violators and granted them a period to rectify their situation before proceeding with the removal, confirming that the municipality then worked to provide safe pathways for pedestrians and road users.
He noted that the municipality is currently studying the establishment of a folk market after renting a suitable space to relocate the stalls there, explaining that the market will be equipped according to public safety standards to ensure smooth traffic flow and market organization.
