Khaberni - The Arab Republic of Egypt hosted on Monday, "The Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit", within the framework of establishing a pathway to peace in the Middle East, through ending the war in Gaza and reaching a political settlement for the Palestinian issue. The summit, organized based on an Egyptian-American initiative, was chaired by Mr. President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Mr. President Donald Trump, President of the United States of America.

The summit included the participation of several heads of state and government from various countries, including Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Turkey, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, France, Cyprus, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Greece, Armenia, Hungary, Pakistan, Canada, Norway, Iraq, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Japan, the Netherlands, Paraguay, and India. The summit also saw significant participation from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, the President of the European Council, the President of the International Football Federation, and the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

According to a statement issued by the Egyptian presidency, the summit focused on the full endorsement and support for the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement to end the war in Gaza, which was signed with mediation by Egypt and the USA, and the participation of both Qatar and Turkey.

The summit emphasized the importance of cooperation among the international community members to provide all necessary means to follow up on the implementation of the agreement's terms and to maintain its continuity, including a comprehensive cessation of the war in Gaza, completion of the hostage and prisoner exchange process, the Israeli withdrawal, and the entry of humanitarian and relief aid into the Gaza Strip. The summit also witnessed the signing ceremony of the support document by the leaders of the mediating countries.

It was emphasized that it is necessary to begin consultations on the ways and mechanisms to implement the next stages of President Trump's settlement plan, starting from matters related to governance and security provision, the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and moving forward to the political pathway for the settlement.

In the framework of establishing a pathway to peace in the Middle East through ending the war in Gaza and reaching a political settlement for the Palestinian issue, based on an Egyptian-American initiative, Egypt hosted today, October 13, 2025, "The Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit", chaired by Mr. President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Mr. President Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, and included participation from heads of state and governments from Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Turkey, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, France, Cyprus, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Greece, Armenia, Hungary, Pakistan, Canada, Norway, Iraq, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Japan, the Netherlands, Paraguay, and India, as well as the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, the President of the European Council, the President of the International Football Federation, and the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

The participating leaders appreciated Egypt's role, under the patronage of the President, in leading and coordinating humanitarian efforts since the beginning of the crisis, and in mediation until the Sharm El-Sheikh Agreement was reached, and they commended the Egyptian efforts to hold the summit.

Egypt, which planted the seeds of peace in the region about half a century ago, affirms that it will spare no effort to preserve the new horizon that was born in the city of peace, Sharm El-Sheikh, and will continue to address the roots of instability in the Middle East, primarily the lack of a settlement for the Palestinian issue, to achieve comprehensive and just peace.
The Palestinian people have suffered as no other people have in modern history, and this brotherly people have managed to endure and persevere despite the grave challenges, and Egypt will remain supportive of it, promoting its resilience, and legitimate inalienable rights including the right to self-determination, and the right to live in security and peace, like all the world's peoples, in an independent state living side-by-side with Israel, on its territory in Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, under its legitimate leadership and based on the June 4, 1967, lines, according to international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
Egypt looks forward to peace and will cooperate with everyone to build a Middle East free of conflicts, a Middle East built on justice and equality in rights, and on relationships based on good neighborliness and peaceful coexistence among all its peoples without exception.
