Report Sadness Dominates Among Jordanians

A report by the Gallup World Institute showed the predominance of sadness in the feelings of the Jordanians compared to other peoples of the world, with a prevalence rate of 43% among adults.
According to the report monitored by Khaberni, Jordan ranked seventh globally and first in the Arab world, in terms of happiness in the year 2024
The report stated that sadness levels are high in Chad, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo—all countries emerging from conflicts or still suffering from instability.
It pointed out that sadness levels in Chad reached a record in the year 2024, highlighting the extent of emotional suffering in one of the most institutionally and socially fragile countries in the world.
The report was part of a comprehensive study to measure distress levels in various countries.
