Khaberni - The trial series of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will resume next Wednesday, where he will testify before the criminal court after the session was postponed due to diplomatic meetings, amidst recent political and diplomatic developments regarding the war in Gaza.

A decision issued on Monday by the judges of the Central Court in Jerusalem stated that Netanyahu will appear in court to testify on Wednesday between 12:30 pm and 5:00 pm.

"Jerusalem Post" reported that Netanyahu, through his lawyers, requested the cancellation of Wednesday's session due to its coincidence with two diplomatic meetings, the first with Cypriot President Nicos Christodoulides, and the second with a figure whose name was not disclosed.

The prosecution did not propose to cancel the session on Wednesday, but the court ordered that he testify in the interval between the two meetings.

Netanyahu has been tried in several separate cases on charges of "bribery, fraud, and breach of trust," although he has denied all charges against him.

These developments came after Hamas and Israel signed an agreement to cease fire and exchange hostages and prisoners.

U.S. President Donald Trump is making a brief visit to Israel, where he met with his Israeli counterpart Isaac Herzog, Benjamin Netanyahu, and the families of the hostages, and will give a speech before the Israeli Knesset.

The recent developments between Hamas and Israel have raised questions about the fate of the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court against Netanyahu, and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, last November, on charges related to "committing war crimes and crimes against humanity during military operations in the Gaza Strip."

The Israeli "Jerusalem Post" suggested that the cases raised against Israel before the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice may not conclude even if the war ends and the Israeli hostages are released.
