Khaberni - The American President Donald Trump selected a phrase to commemorate his visit to "Israel".
Synchronized with the release of live Israeli hostages by the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas on Monday, American President Donald Trump arrived in Israel for a short visit lasting a few hours, during which he will give a speech before the Knesset.
Before entering the Knesset hall to give his speech, Trump signed in the Knesset guestbook.
According to "Yedioth Ahronoth" newspaper, Trump wrote "It is a great honor for me - a great and beautiful day. A new beginning".
While in the Knesset, Trump held a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, attended by his Middle East Advisor Steve Witkoff, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, and the Mossad chief Didi Bernia.
During the meeting, Netanyahu spoke over the phone with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in a call facilitated by Trump.
Later, the Egyptian presidency announced that both Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will participate in the Sharm el-Sheikh summit, in order to consolidate the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and affirm commitment to it.
Will Trump visit the hostage hospital?
According to the newspaper, Trump has asked his aides to arrange a visit to one of the hospitals treating the released hostages.
As of now, it is unclear whether the request will be accepted, but Israel is preparing for the possibility that a visit to "Tel Hashomer" hospital, if it occurs, could greatly delay Trump's schedule and his expected participation in the Sharm el-Sheikh summit.
