Khaberni - American President Donald Trump has asked his Israeli counterpart Isaac Herzog to grant Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a presidential pardon in the corruption case he is being tried for.
In a breach of all kinds of diplomatic taboos, and in his speech before the Israeli Knesset, Trump addressed Herzog on behalf of Netanyahu, who is accused in a criminal trial of charges including bribery, saying: "I have an idea, why not grant him a pardon? It makes sense whether we like it or not.. Who cares about cigars and champagne?"
And he addressed Netanyahu, saying: "You are a very popular person because you know how to win."
