Press Reports 2026 World Cup Tickets the Most Expensive in History

Khaberni - The French newspaper "Le Parisien" revealed the "fantastic" prices for attending the 2026 World Cup, which will be held for the first time with the participation of 48 teams in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

According to what the newspaper reported from American sources, including "The Athletic," prices have seen an unprecedented increase compared to previous editions, which could pose a burden on fans wishing to attend the globally largest soccer event.

Despite organizers announcing that group stage ticket prices will start from only $60, these tickets will be very limited, while prices rise sharply in later stages:

Opening match (Azteca Stadium – Mexico): between $745 and $1825.

First match in the United States (SoFi Stadium – California): between $1120 and $2735.

The grand final: The prices of the first batch ranged between $2030 and $6730 (over 5700 euros), and sold out within a few hours despite their high cost.

The newspaper pointed out that the first phase of the sale, designated for Visa cardholders who won in the draw, experienced huge demand and long electronic queues that prevented many from purchasing.

Le Parisien confirmed that fans still have other opportunities to get tickets, through new sales stages:

The second stage: registration between October 27 and 31.

The third stage: begins after the official draw scheduled on December 5 in Washington, where fans will be able to buy tickets for specific matches.

It is noted that FIFA has set strict limits on purchasing, so that the number of tickets does not exceed four tickets per match, and a maximum of 40 tickets per person throughout the tournament.
