Khaberni - Zain Jordan has won the 2025 Arab Sustainability and Community Responsibility Award, in the Large Business Category, presented by the Arab CSR & Sustainability Awards 2025, in recognition of its evident impact and pioneering role in balancing economic growth, environmental protection, and local community support.
This award reinforces Zain Jordan's leading position, being one of the first national companies to formulate a comprehensive strategy for managing sustainability and social responsibility, integrating it as a fundamental part of its approach by incorporating sustainable development goals within its operations, reflecting its commitment in launching various quality programs and initiatives that support the local community through extensive partnerships with various local and international entities aimed at achieving holistic development, besides allocating a percentage of its annual profits to social responsibility, culminating in the company's second-place finish in the award.
The company's vision extends to include its partners and suppliers to ensure their alignment with humanitarian values and sustainability goals in their operations, and the company has made clear positive impacts through its leading achievements in empowering youth, women, and integrating people with disabilities, in addition to its vigorous environmental efforts to address climate change and reduce carbon emissions, which embody its vision towards building a more sustainable and prosperous future.
The eighteenth edition of the award saw the winners crowned in a grand ceremony held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Engineer Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Department in Ras Al Khaimah and member of the Executive Council of the Ras Al Khaimah Government, adding special significance and distinction to the event, which was attended by a host of leaders, decision-makers, and representatives of leading institutions in the region, celebrating the companies that place sustainability at the core of their operations.
The Arab Sustainability and Social Responsibility Award is one of the oldest regional awards that honors distinguished institutions in governance, sustainability, and community responsibility, evaluating companies' performance according to the best global standards and practices of transparency and institutional sustainability.
It is noteworthy that Zain Jordan has received the Hussein Medal for Distinguished Service of the First Order, bestowed by His Majesty King Abdullah II in recognition of its efforts in serving the Kingdom and supporting the local community, in addition to winning numerous local and regional awards, the most prominent being the Silver Jubilee Medal bestowed by His Majesty King Abdullah II, in recognition of its contributions to the development of the telecommunications sector in the kingdom, while the company recently won the Middle East Excellence Award 2025 for its regional data storage, information and disaster recovery center “The Bunker”, awarded by the Asian Business Review during the awards ceremony in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
