The 37-year-old Polish striker has not played a significant role with the Spanish league champion so far this season, with Ferran Torres often leading the Catalan attack line, despite his natural position not being as a forward.
The Catalan newspaper "Sport" indicated today, Sunday, that 21-year-old Levante's Cameroonian player Carl Ita Eyong is considered a potential replacement for Lewandowski next season.
Lewandowski joined Barcelona in 2022 after successful stints with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, achieving a treble with Bayern in 2020 under the management of current Barcelona coach Hansi Flick.
Media reports had previously linked the Polish striker with a move to the Saudi league.
