Khaberni - Security forces in Alexandria, Egypt, have arrested Omar El-Shehta, a festival performer and TikToker, after he broadcast videos that contained indecent language aimed at generating financial profit.
Information and investigations by the General Security sector confirmed that one of the content creators posted video clips on his social media accounts in Alexandria, Egypt, featuring songs with indecent language not approved by the censorship authorities.
Identification and arrest of the suspect
Following legal procedures, security forces were able to identify and arrest the individual managing the account, who turned out to be unemployed and residing in the area of the Montaza Second Police Department in Alexandria.
During the search, his mobile phone was seized, and upon examination, it was found to contain a large number of recorded clips that included the mentioned indecent language and content.
Upon confronting the suspect, he admitted to filming those clips and broadcasting them on his social media pages with the aim of increasing viewership and earning financial profits from advertisements and electronic returns resulting from interactions with the content.
Legal measures implementation
The necessary legal measures were taken against the accused, and he was referred to the competent authorities for investigation, as part of the continuous efforts by the Ministry of Interior to combat content that violates public morals on electronic platforms and to preserve societal values.
