Khaberni - Egypt announced on Sunday the list of guests who confirmed their participation in the Monday-scheduled Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit, aimed at advancing the plan to halt the war in Gaza and ending the ongoing conflict for two years.
The list includes leaders from heads of state, kings, princes, prime ministers, and ministers, as well as officials from international and regional entities.
However, one guest from outside the political world who drew attention was Gianni Infantino, the president of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), who confirmed his attendance among the list of confirmed attendees.
The summit will be co-chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and his American counterpart, Donald Trump.
Key points about the attendance
Infantino's attendance is linked to a strong relationship with the American president, which has piqued the interest of some observers in the context of this meeting.
It is well known that Trump was a strong supporter of FIFA, and Infantino was one of the first to congratulate him via social media platforms when he won a second presidential term.
