Khaberni - Asmaa Galal has emerged in recent years as a rising face in the Egyptian cinema and drama scene, thanks to her diverse artistic choices and her ability to perform romantic, social, and comedic roles. With each new work, she leaves a mark that reflects her eagerness to develop her skills and connect with the audience.
In her latest cinematic participation, Galal is involved in the movie "What's in It For Me", which brings together a selection of stars to reveal a human experience in a light social framework that blends comedy with family messages.
In statements to "Alarabiya.net" and "Alhadath.net", Galal discussed the details of her participation in the film, the nature of her role, and the idea it discusses, in addition to the film's message and behind-the-scenes aspects.
Asmaa Galal expressed her immense happiness with her participation in the movie "What's in It For Me", describing it as "one of the most beautiful experiences she has had" in her artistic career.
Galal added that the screenplay attracted her from the beginning, as when she read it, she found in it room to present a new character different from her previous roles, which intrigued her.
She explained that her role includes a character characterized by "sternness and organization", which is completely different from her real-life personality, pointing out that this contrast motivated her to take on the experience.
Galal highlighted that "the behind-the-scenes were filled with fun and positive energy, and that working with the film's team was comfortable and inspiring at the same time".
Galal also noted that the film's idea addresses family relationships with simplicity and realism, pointing out that the emotional side of the daughter's character intersects with the idea of "first love", stressing: "First love is unforgettable, but it is not the end of the road, as life always offers us new opportunities."
She also confirmed that the film has a more humane and social aspect than just being a comedy, pointing out that the family represents a basic pillar in her life, and that she personally sees that any disputes that occur inside the home remain transient because family bonds are stronger than anything else.
She concluded her remarks by affirming that the film presents a light and simple message but it is capable of touching the audience's feelings, hoping that the viewer leaves the theater with a smile and a bit of hope, considering that this is the greatest outcome art can provide.
