Entry of Fuel and Gas Trucks into Gaza after Two Years of Blockade

Khaberni - A limited number of aid trucks loaded with gas and fuel began entering the Gaza Strip on Sunday evening after Israel had prevented their arrival for two years.

Eyewitnesses reported the arrival of a limited number of trucks loaded with gas and fuel, coming from the Kerem Shalom crossing, pursuant to the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on Friday.

Over two years of siege, Israel prevented the entry of gas and fuel into the sector except for limited quantities that arrived during a truce period last January, and meager amounts for international institutions to distribute to vital sectors such as hospitals.

For more than two months, Israel has allowed an average daily entry of 60-70 aid trucks, as well as a limited number of cargo trucks, which did not include fuel or gas.

The first phase of the ceasefire agreement came into effect on Friday.
