Otaka Confessions Hadeer Abdel Razek Threatened to Send the Video to My Family and I Was Married to a Jordanian

Khaberni - Investigations have revealed new details in the case of blogger Mohamed Otaka, the ex-husband of Hadeer Abdel Razek, who is accused of publishing indecent videos and having possession of drugs.

According to local media sources, the initial investigations in case number 1927 of 2025, in which the blogger Mohamed Otaka, ex-husband of blogger Hadeer Abdel Razek, is accused, revealed that he was filming and broadcasting video clips from his apartment aimed at achieving high viewership to increase profits from social media platforms.

Following the decision from the investigative authorities to apprehend him, a security force managed to arrest him in the vicinity of a residential compound in El Shorouk City.

During the search, a small bottle (ampoule) containing a white substance suspected to be cocaine was found inside his clothing, and it was also found that he did not have a vehicle license for the car he was driving, and he claimed that it was his own.

Upon searching the car, a quantity of hashish was found under the driver's seat.

Phone Examination Reveals Indecent Clips and Improper Content
The investigations clarified that by examining the suspect's phone, it was found that he had published many video clips on his personal account on the TikTok app, in which he was using phrases and words that offend modesty and public morals and constitute an infringement on family values in Egyptian society.

A special application for cryptocurrency was also found on the phone.

A: I really use that account, but I haven't posted anything offensive to societal values, all my content is gym tips and comedy sketches.

Q: What is your relationship with the items that were shown to you?

A: I don't know anything about them.

Q: Do you use any drugs?

A: I've never used drugs or even cigarettes, and I have a video on YouTube with 11 million views talking about the dangers of drugs. The only thing I take is gym steroids.

His Upbringing and Early Career

The accused explained that he was born to separated parents, his father is deceased, and he has an older brother and sister, studied at Mustafa Kamel Primary School, then El Marg Preparatory School for Boys, and later joined Orman Private School - Tourism in New El Marg, before moving to the Higher Institute of Qualitative Studies in Giza, where he is still a student.

He added that he worked in various fields such as marketing exhibitions, bookstores, and hotels, until he started publishing videos on YouTube in 2021 and achieved significant success, which led him to fully dedicate himself to social media.

He indicated that he married a Jordanian woman in 2022, but the marriage did not last long due to financial pressures, and they separated. Since then, he has been working in real estate marketing.

The accused mentioned in the investigations that the Tax Authority had contacted him regarding a tax evasion file, and he explained to them that he had stopped producing videos regularly, and at that time his TikTok account had about 700,000 followers, but it was not generating significant profits because the app did not allow for profit-making at that time.

He added that he had established a commercial register and tax card before he completely stopped producing videos.

He noted that he resumed appearances after the crisis with Hadeer Abdel Razek, as he published a video defending her after a clip attributed to her was leaked, and the video achieved 10 million views but did not generate financial profits.

After that, he started live streaming, which helped him achieve a financial return.

Otaka narrated that after the video spread, Hadeer Abdel Razek contacted him and thanked him for his support, and a relationship started between them that ended in a two-month marriage, which was not announced to their followers.

He confirmed that many disputes arose between them after the marriage, leading to their separation. He explained that they both had personal videos on their phones, and during the disputes, she threatened to send these clips to his family.

He stated that in December last year, he filed a report against her and her family at the assembly station, accusing them of "kidnapping and threatening" him, while she accused him of "theft," but they later reconciled and divorced after the reconciliation and deleted the videos from their phones.

He mentioned that after she was recently released from prison, he contacted her to check on her, and they met in Marassi, where he checked her phone to ensure the clips were deleted, and found nothing.

Referral of Blogger Otaka to Criminal Trial
The investigative authorities decided to refer blogger Mohamed Otaka, the ex-husband of Hadeer Abdel Razek, to criminal trial, after accusing him of publishing videos that offend public modesty and misuse social media platforms, and a session was scheduled for October 15 for the start of his trial before the competent court.
