Khaberni - Microsoft has closed all the loopholes that allowed users to install "Windows 11" systems without using the internet or owning a Microsoft account, as observed during the installation of the latest beta versions of the system, according to a report by the technical site "CNET".
Amanda Langowski, who is responsible for the "Windows Insider" program for beta versions of the company, states in an official blog post that the Windows installation screens, which could previously be bypassed, are necessary to complete the installation process properly. She clarified that avoiding these screens prevents users from completing the installation process and exposes the system to critical errors during its use.
Most methods for avoiding these screens relied on the command prompt found in the Windows installation interface, where users would enter commands that allowed them to avoid internet connectivity and the use of a Microsoft account, which the company has been gradually removing.
User opinions about these changes are mixed, with division between supporters and opponents in the "Windows 11" forum on the "Reddit" platform.
Some believe that these changes are frustrating and extremely detrimental, unnecessarily complicating the Windows installation experience. One critic opposed the company's attempt to collect user data in this manner.
Conversely, supporters believe that requiring user account details during installation is common practice when setting up a new "Android" or "iPhone", so it is natural for Microsoft to request the same.
One user adds, "It's usual for users to dislike Windows updates and its new requirements as soon as they appear, but over time, they tend to appreciate them".
Meanwhile, Microsoft has not officially responded to these changes or the reasons behind them, only providing Langowski's blog post on the matter.
This change coincides with Microsoft's preparations to release a new update for "Windows 11" that includes a large set of changes to the system, along with new features.
