Khaberni - The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, in partnership with the Orange Jordan Foundation, concluded the "Incubation Program for Reaching the Product Prototype (MVP)," during an event in the presence of the Ministry's Secretary General, Samira Al-Za'ubi. This program represents the next phase of the Entrepreneurship Hackathon 2024, and is part of the public policy projects for entrepreneurial leadership. The program was implemented through business incubators and accelerators affiliated with the Orange Digital Center.
The program witnessed the participation of 100 entrepreneurial ideas from across the kingdom, led by young men and women passionate about innovative ideas targeting vital sectors of national priority including renewable (green) energy, agricultural technology, education, and tourism.
Over six months, the entrepreneurs underwent an intensive experience during which they received practical training in financial management, marketing, project management, artificial intelligence, and design thinking, along with individual and group mentoring sessions, networking activities, and opportunities to connect with experts and entrepreneurs, as well as benefiting from the facilities and programs of the Orange Digital Center, which equipped them with the skills necessary to turn their ideas into viable projects.
The General Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Samira Al-Za'ubi, confirmed that crowning 23 entrepreneurial projects marks an important milestone in the journey of the Entrepreneurship Hackathon 2024, noting that these projects are the fruits of ongoing effort and creativity, and are a practical embodiment of the royal vision that places youth at the core of modernization and leadership and innovation as a lever for growth and enhancing national economic competitiveness.
She expressed her appreciation for Orange Jordan for its strategic partnership and outstanding efforts in implementing the incubation phase, which included 100 ideas, confirming that this cooperation reflects a successful model of integration between the public and private sectors in supporting the system of entrepreneurship and innovation, and enabling Jordanian youth to turn their ideas into projects capable of growth and contributing to building a thriving and sustainable digital economy.
The CEO of Orange Jordan, Engineer Philippe Mansour, expressed his pride in achieving an exceptional graduation rate of 100% from the incubation program. He pointed out that Orange not only provided training or resources, but also provided an integrated environment with experiences inspired from supporting 480 entrepreneurial companies, enabling the entrepreneurs to develop their ideas and launch with confidence. Mansour also expressed his appreciation for the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship for its support and effective partnership in the success of the program, reaffirming that Jordan is a permanent partner for the youth in their journey towards innovation and excellence, and manufacturing a better future through their active contribution to economic growth.
It is worth mentioning that the presentation phase took place before the graduation ceremony, where startups presented their best prototypes to the entrepreneurial ecosystem, forming bridges towards the phase of growth and expansion. The ceremony was under the slogan "Beyond the Prototype: The Future of Startups," and also included a panel discussion, during which participants shared their experiences and reviewed their achievements, affirming that the program helped them hone their skills, expand the horizons of their projects, and motivated them to continue to innovate and achieve sustainable growth.
