The mother of a student in the fifth grade at one of the private schools in the capital, Amman, said that her son was subjected to physical and psychological aggression by teachers and an administrator at the school, leading to heart problems, bruises on the chest and back, and that the school expelled him after the family filed a complaint about the incident.
The mother explained that she filed a complaint with the school management, but it did not take any action against the teachers, considering the child at fault.
The mother added that her son suffers from an enlargement on the right side of the heart due to being beaten on the chest, along with bruises and contusions on the back, noting that he spent several days in the hospital under observation, in addition to severe psychological harm he endured.
She further explained that after filing a complaint with the police and the Ministry of Education and referring the case to the public prosecutor, the school tried to settle the case by paying financial compensation, but the family rejected it. Consequently, the school expelled the student and refused to allow his return to school, and filed a complaint against the mother accusing her of assaulting the classrooms and insulting the educational staff.
