The deceased was born in Jeddah in 1939, where he received his early education before joining King Saud University in Riyadh, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences. He then pursued higher studies abroad, obtaining a PhD in his scientific field, and subsequently returned as a university professor and prominent researcher in Earth Sciences.
His Contributions to the Development of Scientific Programs
Dr. Naseef progressed in his academic career until he became the president of King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, where, during his presidency, he contributed to the development of its scientific programs and the expansion of its colleges and research departments. The deceased is survived by his wife Hind daughter of Abdulwahab Banaagha, and his children Dr. Omar, Muhammad, Aisha, Khadijah, and Mahmoud. Condolences will be received at the family’s home located in Al-Shati district, Al-Khuzama Towers, Prince Faisal bin Fahd Street in Jeddah.
