Khaberni - The Department of Statistics issued its monthly report on the general index for industrial production volumes, which recorded an increase in industrial production volumes for the first eight months of 2025 by 1.76% compared with the same period of 2024.
On a monthly level, the general index for industrial production volumes increased by 2.07% for the month of August 2025 compared with the corresponding month of 2024, and saw an increase of 1.03% compared with July of the same year, noting that the base year was revised to become (2018=100) instead of (2010=100).
The index for industrial production volumes for the first eight months of the year 2025 amounted to 88.90 compared to 87.36 for the same period of 2024. On a monthly level, the index for the month of August 2025 amounted to 92.78 percentage points compared to 90.89 for the same month of 2024, and the index for industrial production volumes for August 2025 amounted to 92.78 compared to 91.83 compared with July of the same year.
Comparing the cumulative index for the first eight months of 2025 with the same period from 2024, the production volumes of the "manufacturing industries" sector increased by 1.81%, which represents a relative importance of 88.7%. The "electricity production" volumes increased by 3.22%, representing a relative importance of 5.9%. Meanwhile, the production volumes of the "extractive industries" sector decreased by (1.39%), representing a relative importance of 5.4%.
On a monthly scale, the general index for industrial production volumes for the month of August 2025 compared with the same month from 2024 rose due to an increase in the production volumes of the "manufacturing industries" sector by 1.79%, which represents a relative importance of 88.7%, and production volumes of the "extractive industries" sector by 0.42%, representing a relative importance of 5.4% and an increase in the production volumes of the "electricity" sector by 7.99%, representing a relative importance of 5.9%.
At the sectoral level, comparing the index for August 2025 with July of the same year, the production volumes of the "manufacturing industries" sector increased by 0.67%, which represents a relative importance of 88.7%, production volumes of the "extractive industries" sector by 1.67%, representing a relative importance of 5.4%, and production volumes of the "electricity" sector by 6.02%, representing a relative importance of 5.9%.
