Khaberni - Al-Ahliyya Amman University achieved an unprecedented scientific accomplishment by securing the first place among Jordanian universities, falling within the 401–500 global ranking category in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for 2026, one of the most prestigious academic rankings globally.
This achievement is the fruit of the ambitious strategic vision adopted by the university in supporting scientific research and enhancing the quality of education, alongside excellence in academic performance and international cooperation.
This ranking reflects the prestigious scientific status attained by Al-Ahliyya Amman University, and its continuous efforts in elevating the level of higher education and scientific research in Jordan and the region.
Both university president Professor Sari Hamdan and Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, chairman of the board, affirmed that this progress reflects the university's commitment to its mission towards excellence, creativity, and innovation, noting that investing in scientific research and distinguished academic staff was the primary factor behind this achievement that enhances the university's position on the global map of higher education.
It is noted that the university's delegation to the results announcement ceremony included, besides the chairman of the board Dr. Maher Al-Hourani and university president Professor Sari Hamdan, Professor Ahmad Sami Abu Arqoub - Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Ahmad Mansour - Director of the Center for Sustainability and International Ranking, and Engineer Ahmad Maher Al-Hourani.
