Khaberni - Former MP Qusai Al-Damisi condemned some individuals for circulating and publishing the video that documented the crime which claimed the life of his brother, confirming that this action has no relation to the genuine Jordanian customs and traditions, which reject exploiting human tragedies or trading in the pain of others.
The following is Al-Damisi's statement:
I strongly condemn some individuals for circulating and publishing the video that documented the gruesome crime which claimed the life of my brother, may God have mercy on him, affirming that this act bears no relation to our customs and genuine Jordanian traditions that reject exploiting human tragedies or trading in the pain of others.
The circulation of such clips affects the feelings of the family and the entire community and constitutes a moral and human crime before it becomes legal, and we have already started taking the necessary legal actions to prosecute anyone who publishes or circulates this video by any means.
I also call on the authorities and the security services to initiate an investigation to find out how the published video was leaked, how it was circulated and sent to citizens, and hold accountable everyone behind this, and put an end to anyone daring to trade the feelings of the deceased's family to gather views or achieve cheap gains at the expense of human tragedies.
In conclusion, I send a message to all the nation's people and components about the necessity to respect the feelings of the deceased's family and honor the sanctity of the dead and refrain from circulating any clips that demean human dignity.
We confirm that, through our cybersecurity unit, we will legally pursue everyone who publishes the video or recirculates it, considering this an infringement of our feelings and a breach of the customs and morals we were raised on.
May God have mercy on my brother and protect Jordan, its people, and its Hashemite leadership from all evil, and make us all those who honor words and preserve human dignity.
