Khaberni - The American envoy Steve Witkoff confirmed that the Israeli detainees in Gaza will return to their homes.
This was stated in a message he addressed to the detainees during a massive gathering in Tel Aviv on Saturday, as a ceasefire took effect in the sector.
Witkoff said, "To the detainees themselves: You are returning to your homes," which ignited applause and cheers from thousands gathered in a square in Tel Aviv now known as the Hostages' Square.
He added that U.S. President Donald Trump has proven that peace in the Middle East is not impossible.
Demonstrators chanted against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as his name was mentioned by Witkoff in the midst of Tel Aviv.
The United States envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
