Khaberni - The settlers' attacks continue for the third consecutive day against the farmers in the town of Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit, during the olive-picking season.
Eye-witnesses reported that groups of settlers attacked the farmers in the area of Khallet al-Rasmlah in the southern face, pelting them with rotten eggs while they were working in olive-picking, coinciding with the flying of a drone above their heads, pointing out that the area is adjacent to the "Revava" settlement and a number of settlement outposts.
In the same context, on Saturday morning, the occupation forces prevented the residents of Deir Istiya from reaching their lands on the western side of the town and closed the roads of Al-Sanadah and Al-Masarrah, while the main entrance to the town remains closed with iron gates since Friday evening.
A group of settlers had attacked farmer Jamal Zidan and his family, and farmer Abdul Karim Mansour and his family on Friday, and another group assaulted Haj Khader Mansour and his family members in the Al-Musalbah area opposite "Yakir" settlement.
Moreover, settlers in the Al-Qa'eda area north of the town, where a pastoral outpost known as "Hayfa ibn Haymer" was established, proceeded to steal olive fruits and attack the farmers, while large forces of the occupation army arrived at the site and detained the farmers for several hours.
It should be noted that the olive trees in the surrounding areas have been subjected to repeated attacks for years, including breaking and cutting of the trees.
