Chief of Staff of the International Forces Command Visits Jordanian Helicopter Unit

Khaberni - The Chief of Staff of the International Forces Command (MONUSCO), Brigadier Mushak, accompanied by a number of staff officers, visited the Jordanian/Congo 1 Helicopter Unit last Friday at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) at Mavivi Airport in the city of Beni, within the operational area of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The guest listened to a briefing presented by the assistant unit commander, in the presence of the flight cell commander, that covered the nature of the aerial missions and field operations carried out by the unit in the context of supporting peacekeeping efforts and enhancing security and stability in the operational area.

Brigadier Mushak toured the unit's administrative and technical facilities, where he was briefed on their readiness and the efficiency levels of its personnel, expressing his appreciation for the high discipline and professionalism exhibited by the Jordanian unit, and praising the distinctive professionalism that the Jordanian armed forces enjoy among the international units working within the United Nations mission.
