Khaberni - Amid the tensions that have recently marked relations between Iran and Western countries, following the failure of negotiations on the nuclear file and the reimposition of UN sanctions, in addition to mutual threats with Israel, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's naval force, Brigadier General Ali Reza Tangsiri, considered that the West's problem with his country lies not in nuclear or weapons but in scientific progress.

He said in statements, last night Friday: "They know that Iran does not seek to possess a nuclear bomb, but their problem is with our scientific progress, not weapons."

He also regarded that "Iran has reached a stage today that enables it to export missiles, drones, boats, and science," he said.

These statements came while several Iranian officials have warned in recent times against any "new adventure" that Israel or the United States might undertake, similar to the attacks that occurred in the 12-day war last June.

It also came after Tehran reiterated more than once through Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, that his country had presented to the European Troika (France, Germany, and Britain) several proposals to solve the nuclear file and prevent the activation of the "snapback" mechanism, but they were rejected, and he considered that activating the "trigger mechanism" aims to push Tehran to make concessions described as unreasonable or impossible.

It should be noted that meetings at the highest levels were intensified last month on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly, in an effort to reach a settlement regarding UN sanctions and to strike a new deal, but without success.
