Khaberni - Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, the president of both Chambers of Commerce of Jordan and Amman and the honorary president of the Basmah Hayat Charity Association, stated that the "Preserving Grace" project has succeeded in saving more than a million luxurious meals from being wasted and distributing them to modest families in various regions.
The initiative, launched by volunteer youth since Ramadan 2022, aims to safely and cleanly collect excess food from five-star hotels, in cooperation with 6 hotels so far, and transport it via designated vehicles for distribution in partnership with charitable organizations.
Al-Haj Tawfiq confirmed that this success is the fruit of collaboration between the hotels, supporters, and volunteers, and that the project will continue, with God's help, to reach millions of other meals.
He explained that the food is collected from five-star hotels in a safe manner according to the specifications and standards of the Public Institution for Food and Drug, for distribution to discreet families.
