Khaberni - "Al Jazeera" channel has settled the debate raging on social media in recent hours, after a video widely documented a moment when a "mouse invasion" occurred in the studio of Al Jazeera English, prompting the presenter to jump from her seat amidst a sudden scream, before trying to control the situation in front of the camera.
The channel confirmed, through its official accounts, that the circulated video is "completely fabricated" and was produced using artificial intelligence technologies, explaining that the incident did not occur in any of its studios, neither in London nor in Doha, and that the purpose of the clip is "visual deception" and not to transmit a real incident.
The video had swept social media platforms, achieving millions of views within hours, showing the presenter being surprised by a mouse falling in front of her on the table, causing her to jump in fright before quickly returning to her seat and apologizing to the viewers in a composed tone, in a scene that appeared so realistic it led many to believe it without verification.
However, precise shots in the clip raised suspicions among followers, after some noticed that the chair the presenter was sitting on moved backward during her jump, then appeared back in its natural place when she returned without her touching it, which revealed a flaw in the assembly of the scene and led to doubts about its credibility.
It later became clear, after tracking the source of the video, that it was produced by an account on the Tik Tok application specializing in editing satirical clips using artificial intelligence techniques, where it reconstructs scenes of presenters and celebrities in amusing or odd situations, including fictitious chases between mice and presenters inside the studios.
