Khaberni - Elon Musk announced that his company's chatbot "Grok" will soon be able to analyze online video clips to detect artificial intelligence fingerprints, and conduct further research to find the source of these clips.

The CEO of "xAI" made these statements amid increasing concerns about the use of AI-generated content for impersonation and defamatory content distribution.

One platform X user highlighted these concerns in a post, writing: "Within the next year or two - maybe even sooner - anyone who dislikes you will be able to create any type of defamatory video about you doing or saying something terrible, and it will be indistinguishable from real video to the extent that you will never be able to prove it's fake. No real effort is being made to prevent this," according to a report by the website "mint" specializing in technology news, which was reviewed by "Arabia Business".

In response to this post, Musk said that a new feature coming to "Grok" will enable it to "analyze video to detect artificial intelligence fingerprints in the data stream (raw digital data) and conduct deeper internet research to determine its source."

"Grok" provided more details on how this feature works, explaining that it might have the ability to detect subtle traces indicating artificial intelligence in the data streams of videos, such as inconsistencies in compression or generation patterns that humans cannot detect.

"Grok" might also compare metadata, source paths, and digital traces on the web to verify the origin and authenticity of the video.

Since the launch of Grok in 2023, Musk has relied on this chatbot to address the growing significance of companies "OpenAI" and "Google" in the artificial intelligence race.

Earlier this year, Musk also merged "xAI" and platform X in an attempt to enhance the synergy between his companies, while "Grok" has become an integral part of the social media site.

Users of platform X had the option to summon the chatbot Grok to verify the authenticity of posts on the platform. Musk is now also planning to completely replace the "X" recommendation algorithm with Grok to provide more customized content to users.

The chatbot is also central to Musk's ambitions to create a platform competing with Wikipedia, which he calls "Grokikipedia."
