Khaberni - The Turkish artist Hadise rekindled social media once again after her statements about smoking, a few days after her release in a drug case.

Hadise, the famous Turkish artist, has returned to the circle of controversy again, after her recent statements about smoking cigarettes sparked a wide response across social media platforms, just a few days after she was released in a case involving drug use and promotion, which included a number of Turkish artists and celebrities.

During a talk in front of her audience, Hadise said that she felt "severe pain just due to the suspicion against her," confirming that she does not smoke cigarettes and does not use any substances, adding: "I live a clean and pure life, and it saddens me that my name is mentioned in such cases in front of the audience I love," as she put it.

A video circulating on social platforms showed mixed reactions among followers, as some considered her denial of smoking illogical in light of the suspicions that had been raised about her previously, while others defended her, asserting that linking fame with negative behaviors is an unfair generalization, and that her statements represent her honesty and desire to maintain her image in front of her audience.
Hadise's statements came after an extensive security campaign launched by the Turkish authorities targeting a number of art stars and social media celebrities in Istanbul, within investigations related to drug use, including 19 well-known figures, most notably the actor Metin Akdülger, the singer İrem Derici, and Derin Talu.

The Turkish Public Prosecutor's Office explained that the investigations focus on personal use of drugs, with no intention to promote or sell, while medical analysis will determine the legal path for each case separately.

Additionally, Turkish media reported that this campaign came after months of monitoring and tracking movements and communications within the artistic community, as part of official efforts to curb the spread of drugs among influential figures in society.
