Khaberni - The White House announced that U.S. President Donald Trump will deliver a speech at the Israeli Knesset next Monday, prior to heading to Egypt to sign the Gaza agreement.
It clarified that Trump will depart Washington on Sunday evening heading to Israel, in an official visit expected to feature meetings with a number of Israeli officials, in addition to his participation in a special session of the Knesset.
The statement indicated that the U.S. President's visit to Cairo is part of American and international efforts to support the implementation of the Gaza agreement reached through mediation by Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, with the participation and support of several international powers.
This anticipated visit represents a new step in the efforts aimed at consolidating the truce in the sector and enhancing the chances of reaching a permanent political solution to the crisis, in the context of increasing international support for the plan approved by the United Nations.
