Khaberni - Issued by the Lebanese General Security Directorate - Media Affairs Office the following statement:
Within the framework of its fight against espionage networks, the General Security Directorate managed to dismantle a network operating for the Israeli enemy that was preparing for terrorist activities including bombings and assassinations in Lebanon and some of its members have been arrested.
As a result of the investigations, one of the detainees acknowledged the responsibility of this network for carrying out previous assassinations targeting party officials in the Islamic group.
Following this, the General Security Directorate conducted a precise operational, security, and technical tracking operation, which resulted in raids in several Lebanese regions with a participation of a unit from the Lebanese Army and the Intelligence Directorate, leading to the seizing of a number of vehicles and equipment used and the arrest of several involved, most notably:
