Khaberni - The "Jordan Trail National March 2025" events kicked off today, Friday, October 10, organized by the Jordan Trail Association for the eighth consecutive year, amidst an atmosphere dominated by a love for adventure and nature.
The march extends over 43 days from Umm Qays in the north to Aqaba in the south, covering a distance of 675 kilometers, passing through 75 Jordanian villages, with the participation of adventurers and trekking tourism enthusiasts from Jordan and various countries around the world, either along the full route or specific segments of it, in addition to weekend and one-day trips.
Since the event's launch in 2017, more than 1500 adventurers from 40 nationalities have participated, making it one of the most prominent adventure tourism events in the region. The Jordan Trail Association aims to promote sustainable national tourism and enhance Jordan's position as a global adventure destination, in addition to supporting local communities by providing more than 580 direct job opportunities for the villagers along the trail.
This year, the event is held in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Jordan Tourism Board, and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, and with support from the private sector represented by Joramco (Gold Sponsor), Ayla Oasis Aqaba and Central Toyota (Silver Sponsors), alongside Radio Hala and Bliss FM as media partners.
The Jordan National Trail enjoys royal patronage and attention from His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein and his Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, may God protect them, in line with the economic modernization vision which includes "making Jordan a global destination" among the drivers of national economic growth. His Majesty granted the association the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence in the second degree in 2018 in recognition of its role in supporting tourism and the national economy.
It should be noted that the Jordan Trail was selected by National Geographic as one of the best global destinations for 2018, also winning the World Travel Award in London that same year, and was recently listed by Lonely Planet as one of the top tourist destinations for 2025, continuing to serve as a national symbol that embodies the beauty of Jordanian nature and the richness of its culture and diverse adventures from north to south.
