Khaberni - Channel 12 in Israel reported this evening that the Israeli government approved the hostage deal after an extended session that witnessed sharp debates among the ministers.
The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that the government has agreed to the broad outlines of the agreement, which includes the release of all hostages according to the understandings reached within the framework of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that Ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich voted against the agreement, while it received the support of the majority of government members, paving the way for its official approval.
