Khaberni - Minister of Transport Nidal Al-Qatamin visited the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission on Thursday, where he met with the head of the commission, Daifallah Al-Farajat, the commissioners of the board, and a number of relevant directors.
During the visit, accompanied by the ministry's Secretary-General Fares Abu Dayyeh, he emphasized enhancing security and safety requirements in air navigation and operational procedures, pointing out the necessity of accelerating the implementation of projects listed under the economic modernization vision, and working according to a forward-looking perspective that takes into consideration the rapid technological advancements in the aviation sector, especially in the field of drones and modern air transport modes.
Al-Qatamin called for enhancing investment and encouraging investors by facilitating them in implementing future expansion plans for airports, stressing the importance of adopting a comprehensive and strategic vision for airspace policy and related international agreements.
He mentioned the need to exert maximum efforts in supporting operators and enabling them to enhance the efficiency of national airports to make them an attractive destination for navigation routes and a distinguished center for ground operations, with a focus on continuing the training and qualification of human resources and the development of air navigation devices to keep up with the latest global technologies in this field.
