AlHabbash Abbas undertook efforts and negotiations to release our prisoners

Khaberni - The advisor to the Palestinian president, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbash, commended the role played by the mediators in Egypt, Qatar, and Washington in reaching an agreement to cease fire in Gaza.

Unity among all Palestinians is a national necessity, he said during an intervention via Skype on Cairo News TV, today Thursday. The first and foremost priority is to stop the aggression, regardless of the details of the agreement, noting that the people of Gaza should be listened to and their opinion should be decisive as they are not concerned with the details; rather, what dominates their consciousness and thoughts is stopping the war and catching their breath.

The release of Palestinian prisoners is their inherent right, and Al-Habbash clarified that the authority is ready to interact very positively and with all the moral and material energy in order to ensure the success of the agreement and to block Netanyahu and the terrorist group ruling in Israel, noting that the release of all Palestinian and Arab prisoners from occupation jails is their inherent right.

He added that releasing the leaders and symbols of factions and organizational leaderships of various orientations is a priority for the people and the Palestinian leadership, especially as the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, places the issue of the prisoners at the core of the official Palestinian concern and has engaged in negotiations, held meetings, and made efforts to achieve a complete liberation of the prisoners.

We reject the displacement of any Palestinian and imposing conditions on any prisoner, and we want the release of all Palestinian prisoners, concluded the advisor to the Palestinian president, declaring that he sees no possibility of achieving real peace as long as there is even one Palestinian or Arab detainee in Israeli jails, and we refuse the displacement of any Palestinian outside the homeland and imposing conditions on any detainee.
