Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi confirmed Jordan's readiness to resume aid entry to Gaza as soon as Israel lifts the restrictions, ensuring the safe delivery of aid in accordance with international law and humanitarian international law.

Safadi also emphasized the need for all efforts to be united in delivering sufficient and immediate humanitarian aid to end the famine facing the sector, and reaffirmed Jordan's ongoing major humanitarian role in delivering aid to Gaza in cooperation with brethren, the international community, and United Nations organizations.

He stressed that Jordan will continue to work with brethren and partners towards achieving a fair and comprehensive peace, which entails ending the occupation, and the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, according to international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative as the only way forward.

Safadi welcomed the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the agreement on mechanisms for implementing the first phase thereof, which would lead to the cessation of war and the implementation of an exchange agreement and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the sector and the entry of humanitarian aid, emphasizing the necessity to adhere to the agreement and fully execute its terms to end the war and address the catastrophic consequences caused by the aggression.

Through the platform (X), Safadi expressed Jordan's high appreciation for the decisive role of US President Donald Trump in reaching the agreement and his commitment to ending the war, ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid, preventing displacement, reconstructing Gaza, preventing the annexation of the West Bank, and pushing forward the peace efforts.

He added, "We appreciate the persistent efforts of Egypt and Qatar. We also value the role played by Turkey."

He affirmed that Jordan will continue to work with regional and international partners to ensure the delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid in cooperation with United Nations organizations, and will continue working with partners to launch an irreversible path towards a just peace based on a two-state solution.

"The war must end. Humanitarian aid must flow unimpeded, and work on the reconstruction of Gaza must begin," according to Safadi.
