Khaberni - In an unprecedented step for Arab and Egyptian art, artist Hamza Namira has officially announced his candidacy to compete for the 2025 "Grammy" music awards with his latest album "Personal Decision", which enters the race in two of the most prominent categories of the international award: Best Global Album and Best Global Performance, making him one of the first Arab artists to reach this stage of the prestigious competition.
Hamza Namira shared with his audience on his official Instagram account a picture of his nomination, and wrote expressing his gratitude and happiness "Proud to stand among my peers in the Grammy community, bringing Arab music to the global stage."
He added in his post addressed to the members of the American Academy "I invite the members of the Academy to listen to my album (Personal Decision) and assess it within the categories of Best Global Album and Best Global Performance."
Namira expressed his hope that this nomination would open a new window for Arab music to be heard globally, affirming that art is the language that unites people regardless of cultural differences.
The album Personal Decision includes 13 varied songs, as he chose to release his songs in an innovative way over four phases at a rate of three songs weekly before concluding the album with a final batch of four songs.
